Tim is from West Monroe and started his career as a disc jockey around 4 years old playing stacks of 45 rpm records and advidly listening to the radio on a stereo console his parents had purchased. This evolved into listening to local daily morning show AM radio while getting ready for school. As FM radio took over the airwaves, Tim became more focused on local Dj’s and Top 40 music to the point of imitating them regularly. During middle school one of his teachers was a weekend dj and this encouraged Tim to continue on his path to the broadcast studio. At fifteen, he started playing music at local jr high and high school dances and private parties and receptions which he still does today. After High school, Tim started working at a local AM radio station as a board operator which led to FM radio. He has worked on several stations in the area through the years, helping give away thousands of dollars in prizes and keeping the community informed of special events and pertinent information when needed, while still doing what he started at four years old, playing stacks of songs not only to entertain himself but everyone listening as well. In 2016, Tim was diagnosed with Throat cancer. He has been through treatment and is an eight year and counting survivor!
Tim always says ” You can be anything you want to be in life, as long as you’re focused on it. “
