Get ready for the 5th Annual DOWNTOWN DONUT DASH>>> 1 donut awaits you at every mile aid station. So do the math, that's 3 donuts before you cross the FINISH LINE! The question always comes up, do I have to eat the donuts? The short answer is No, however we ask that you allow those that are grabbing donuts to stay ahead of you because that is the point of the 3 mile donut challenge! Whoever can take down 3 donuts and cross the Finish Line as a top 20 male or top 20 female WINS! This race is always a blast and continues to bring an exciting twist each year!!
*One last bit of Information, this is NOT a timed event.* Dirty South Running focuses on making racing FUN. As we continue to grow, we hope to time races in the future but at this time, our races will only collect the times of the top 20 male and 20 female finishers for awards. However, we are known for our Awesome Raffle Prizes to balance out the number of people that go home with great stuff. So even if you aren't the fastest, you still have a chance to win cool stuff.

The Dirty South Marathon was established to bring to North Louisiana and the city of West Monroe its first multi-format event weekend. On October 12, 2014, the eyes of the world were focused on the main event of the weekend – The Dirty South Marathon. The 2nd Annual Dirty South Marathon was held on November 15, 2015, each year's race brought nearly 600 runners from around the country. Friends, family and curious spectators lined up along the 26.2 miles of roadways filled with inspiring sights and sounds to cheer on the many that chose to run. The Dirty South Marathon with a newly designed course and name changed to The Cotton Land Marathon in 2016, has brought a new vibe to the area. This newly designed route showcases the best of West Monroe, running down beautiful streets and threw historic Antique Alley. The only thing makes this course even better is running it twice. The course will be 2 loops through the beautiful city and will be a US Track & Field Certified Course as well as a Boston Qualifier.
